Read the excerpt from Malcolm Gladwell’s Outliers and the chapter on the sociological perspective from About.com. Write an essay relating the findings in Outliers to sociology, in particular, the sociological perspective/sociological imagination. Address the following:

• What were Gladwell’s main findings? What examples did he use?
